What Pressure Cooker/Slow Cooker Do You Use?

I use aย 6 quart oval Kitchenaid slow cooker.* I love this slow cooker (you can see me talking about it in a video here). It cooks low and evenly. I love the medium heat choice because most slow cookers that Iโ€™ve seen only have the option of cooking on low or high. If youโ€™re going to buy just one slow cooker, this is the one that I recommend.

I use a 6 quartย Instant Pot Duo 60 7 in 1*. I love this Instant Pot because it has the yogurt making function which I use almost weekly.ย  It has two pressure settings (high and low), and there are also little slots in the handles so that you can rest the lid there instead of putting it down on your counter-top.

Any new or old Blendtec blender recipes off hand? Sometime this weekend, Iโ€™m going to try to make homemade vanilla ice cream and eventually make that into a cake batter shake for a friend who is not feeling well. She loves the cake batter shakes from Sonic but theyโ€™re only seasonal.

One of these days, Iโ€™m going to make your recipe for roasted red pepper soup. I just needed to get the peppers and I got them today.

Thank you for your recipes and creativity.

Hello Karen, your recipes are amazing. I am new at this and would like to know if it possible to freeze the left-overs ? and for how long ? I cook for myself and hate to waste what I cannot eat.
Would you consider adding a note on each recipe if left-overs could be saved? Thanks and keep-up the great work. Larry

That’s a good idea! I should do that. Most things can be frozen some would definitely come out better than others. I will try to add that to each recipe from now on.

I love your IP recipes. We have graduated from quesadillas to IP meals and haven’t looked back. My computer is upstairs and kitchen is downstairs, so I like to print recipes and keep them in the kitchen – I know, kind of old-fashioned. Sometimes I have a bit of trouble printing recipes when you have many meals – like the 24 mexican meals recently. I finally found a way to do it but I wish there were a way to print them all (or some) from a single spot. The Instant Pot changed the way I cook and eat much of the time. Your site and great recipes took that even another step further. Thank you!! (I wonder how your family manages to eat all the recipes you develop, test, publish. Yikes!)

Have my Instant Pt a year, and it’s still in the box! But, I have 13 crock pots and use them all the time. Due to low vision problems I couldn’t read the instruction book for the IP. However, I did find a doctor which specializes in low vision patients and I have a few “aids” which enable me to read EVERY BOOK I WANT. I’m going to make the rice dish as soon as I finish this comment. I’m so glad I found this web site, I’ve been on it for over 2 hours and have many recipes I want to try. Thanks so much for sharing.

I canโ€™t thank you enough for these amazing recipes. Every recipe I tried has been amazing. Iโ€™m a nurse. I work long hours. I often forget to take something out for dinner. It is unbelievable that you can take frozen meat out of the freezer and in a short amount of time you can have a healthy meal on the table. Your menus have helped numerous times. All recipes are easy and most ingredients are in our pantry.
Please keep the recipes coming. You are a lifesaver.

You can use your IP for the slow cooker setting. Just use the highest setting on the slow cooker function.

Keto is very low carb. They use healthy fats for energy. Pasta is definitely a no no. I tried it for 2 months but it was too hard for me to stick to. Iโ€™ve switched to just eating healthier carbs like brown rice and sweet potatoes. Some people swear by it though.
