A few days ago I posted the most popular instant pot and slow cooker recipes from the past year. Today I’m going to share my personal favorites from 2018. Although these recipes might not be pinned a million times or shared 1000 times on Facebook they are very popular in my household and I make them often. Maybe you’ll like them too? Which recipes have been your favorites?

Instant Pot (or slow cooker) Tortellini Soup with Parmesan, Chicken Sausage and Mushrooms needs to make its place on your menu this week. My husband said “this is maybe the best soup I’ve ever had!” It’s slightly creamy (but doesn’t go overboard with dairy) and has amazing flavor thanks to the chicken sausage. It also has a nice pop of color from the chopped spinach. This soup can be made in minutes with your electric pressure cooker.

Instant Pot Sausage Gravy–country style gravy made with ground sausage and diced bacon is infused with flavors as it is quickly pressure cooked. When served over freshly baked biscuits (homemade or from a can) it tastes like a good old fashioned southern breakfast (although we eat this often for dinner).

Make homemade croutons out of a toasted sesame seed bun to get the total effect. Bottom line…you need to make this today!

My family’s choices
Cooking wouldn’t be fun if I didn’t have my family to cook for! They are my friends and I’m so grateful for them. I asked them what their favorite recipes were this year. Here’s what they said…
My 13 year old daughter chose Instant Pot Chicken Alfredo Meatballs as her favorite recipe.
My 10 year old son chose Instant Pot BBQ Bacon Meatloaf and Mashed Potatoes as his favorite recipe.
My husband chose the meatloaf, cream cheese chicken, Italian tortellini soup and garlic parmesan chicken as his favorites. He couldn’t choose just one!
What Pressure Cooker Do You Use?
I use a 6 quart Instant Pot Duo 60 7 in 1*. I love this Instant Pot because it has the yogurt making function which I use almost weekly. It has two pressure settings (high and low), and there are also little slots in the handles so that you can rest the lid there instead of putting it down on your counter-top.
