If you’re like me you LOVE one-pot meals. When I make a one pot meal I do a happy dance. What makes it even better is when the one pot meal is an Instant Pot recipe. Thank, thank you for all of your wonderful Instant Pot recipes. I rarely use my range anymore and I don’t have to worry about the meat being tender enough for my husbands needs.
I do have one question, though. Can I use brown rice in place of your recipes that call for white rice?
Sometimes you can. Usually I make a note when you can. The brown rice takes 22 minutes while the white rice takes 5 minutes. So that’s why it’s a little hard.
I just got my pot yesterday and made a yummy ham, potatoes, carrots, onion dinner today. Was looking for more all in one pot recipes and hit the jackpot with your site. Thank you so much. I’ve always been afraid of a pressure cooker, but I think I can manage this pot. Will look for more of your hints and recipes. Thank you!!
So happy you found the site Kitty! I think you’ll really find some great dinners here.
I love this site, and I’m so happy I found it. Karen, you do such a magnificent job issuing these recipes!
I’m looking for a Tapioca Pudding recipe for the IP, using LARGE pearls. If you could put this on your radar, I’d appreciate it.
Have YOU published a cookbook on the IP alone? I’ve purchased three books already and there are only a few out of each that are worthy of a try.
Thanks again, Karen. Count me in as very pleased!
So glad you are here Charlene. I am currently working on an Instant Pot book! I haven’t tried tapioca yet. Where do you buy the large pearls?
Wow! I am so impressed with all 25 of these recipes, I spend a lot of time looking up things to cook for my family and this is one of the best sites I have come across. Thank-you!
Thanks Colleen! I hope you find lots of great recipes here 🙂
These 25 instant pot dinners are great…many of them even my grandchildren would like.
Of all the e-mails I receive with instant pot recipes, yours are consistently recipes I will save, print, cook.
That’s nice to hear Vickie. Thank you.
I recommend your site to everyone who is using an instant pot or just purchased one and is scared to try it! Just wanted to tell you I made your instant pot lasagna (with oven ready noodles) for dinner last night and it came out perfect! 22 minutes to actually cook and it was ready! Keep those recipes coming!!!!
Nice! Thank you so much for your support!
Why do we need to NPR on some meats?
The quick release dries out the meat and it won’t be as tender.
I love your recipes! I print off the recipes that look good to me and then try them. Once I like a recipe I file it with comments so I can use it again. I have a 6 qt Crockpot Express multi cooker. I probably use it 2 to 3 times a week. Right now I’m hard cooking a dozen eggs. Didn’t know things could be so simple!
Marilyn, I’m so glad you shared this! Thanks for following along!
To the person wanting to cook round steak.
STEAK AND BROWN GRAVY
Cook the round steak just as you would on the stove top. Sauté, remove from pot, add onions, garlic, and bell pepper, saut’e a few minutes, return meat to pot, add water. Set your pot on high pressure. The time will depend on the size and weight of your meat. You will have to determine the time. Remember to do a natural release for at least 15 minutes, or you take a chance that the meat will be tough. Always NPR meat. If meat is not tender enough set it again for an additional 15 minutes. It will not take as long to come up to pressure this time because the meat is already hot. If your gravy is too thin, remove the meat, set on sauté, and let it cook down until it reaches the consistency you like. Don’t leave and forget your pot. It cooks down fast. Servecover rice or mashed potatoes. Hope this helps.
