I’d like to see a treatise on pot-in-a-pot Instant Pot if you would consider doing one.

Just learning how to cook and I have a 6 qtr. instant pot that every time I use comes up burnt, so I’m hoping to learn how to use the instant pot the right way and cook myself some good healthy meals.. My wife is ill and can’t get around very well so I’ve taken over the kitchen and trying to learn how to cook.. Thanks!

Making sure you scrub the bottom of the pot to ensure nothing is sticking. When the recipe says don’t stir, dont you have to trust the recipe. If you do that you won’t get the butn notice.

Make sure you add enough liquid to the recipe/pot. I used to get the burn notice, too. If you’ve seared or browned meat in the pit , make sure to deglaze it (scrape the bottom with water/broth/wine before adding the rest of the ingredients). When you add your ingredients, make sure you have at least 1/2 cup of liquid, for an 8 qt, you’ll need 1 cup.
