Slow Cooker Orange Glazed Carrots
I don’t know about you but I cannot believe that next week is Thanksgiving. It has come up so fast this year. I think one of the reasons that I don’t feel like it’s this time of year is because our weather has been so incredible. It has been blue skies and warm sunny days and it just feels like it’s still October. Nevertheless, it will be the 4th Thursday in November next week and that means lots and lots of side dishes. Oh how I love some good side dishes. I love trying a little of each one and just enjoying the bounty.
I’m thinking you really should make these slow cooker orange glazed carrots for one of your Thanksgiving side dishes. They are easily made in the slow cooker so they won’t take up your precious oven space. They are bright and slightly tart from the orange marmalade. I made just enough for our family of four in this recipe so I think you should at least triple the recipe for Thanksgiving (depending on how many are coming to dinner).

What Slow Cooker Did You Use?
For these Slow Cooker Orange Glazed Carrots I went with my 3-quart casserole crock made by the Crock-Pot brand. I have loved this casserole shaped crockpot for recipes just like this. I love that the crock insert is completely oven and dishwasher safe. I love how if you want to brown the top of a casserole you can do that quickly in the oven after it cooks all day in the slow cooker. Or if you want to bake something in the oven and then put it into the crockpot and keep it warm on the counter, you can do that too. They cost around $40 and I think totally worth the investment!

Glad you liked them Cathy!!
Thanks Karen, I will!
I can’t wait to try this! To save even more time, could you use either the petite (or baby) or pre-sliced packaged carrots?
totally. I used baby carrots last year at Thanksgiving.
Can this be made in the Instant Pot using pressure cooking?
Hi Cindy, I think you could make this in the pressure cooker for sure. I would just double the amount of water! I am not totally sure on how long you’d cook the carrots for but if I were to guess I would say about 2 minutes on high pressure. Let me know how it works!!
Ohmygosh I have GOT to try these slow cooked carrots! Divine!
Thanks Jenn!
