Mississippi Ground Beef Spaghetti
If you love Mississippi pot roast, you’re going to love this Mississippi Ground Beef Spaghetti! It has all those same yummy flavors from the ranch seasoning, au jus mix, butter and pepperoncinis but in an easy one-pot pasta dinner. I love that you don’t have to boil the spaghetti separately and that the whole thing comes together in the Instant Pot with just a handful of ingredients. Greg and I thought this was such a fun change from regular spaghetti, and it’s definitely a recipe I’ll be making again!
Ingredients/Substitution Ideas
- Lean ground beef–or ground turkey
- Water–or low-sodium beef broth
- Pepperoncini juice–use the liquid straight from the jar of pepperoncinis
- Spaghetti
- Dry ranch dressing mix–use the powdered seasoning mix, not prepared dressing. I like Hidden Valley brand.
- Dry au jus mix–usually found near the gravy packets at the grocery store
- Butter
- Sliced pepperoncinis–use more or less depending on how tangy you like your pasta
Steps
Turn Instant Pot to saute setting. When display says HOT add in the beef and break it up. Brown for 5 minutes, drain off excess grease.

Pour in the water and pepperoncini juice and scrape bottom of pot so that nothing is sticking. Turn off Instant Pot.
Sprinkle in the ranch mix and au jus.

Break the spaghetti in half and lay it in the pot in a criss cross pattern. Place the butter on top.

Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set manual/pressure button is set to 4 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 5-10 minutes and then move valve to venting. Remove the lid.

Stir in the sliced pepperonicinis. Scoop onto plates and enjoy.

Notes/Tips
- Serve with garlic bread and green beans.
- Try making it creamy! Stir in a half cup of sour cream after pressure cooking.
- The pasta may look a little watery at first. Give everything a good stir after removing the lid and let it sit for a few minutes. The spaghetti will continue absorbing some of the liquid.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container* in the refrigerator for 4 days. Freeze leftovers for up to 3 months.
- Other recipes you can make with au jus mix are Slow Cooker Round Steak and Gravy and Slow Cooker Chicken Pot Roast.
- Tools:
- I used my 6 quart Instant Pot*. You can also make this in a 4 or 8 quart pot.
- Wooden saute paddle*
- Magnetic measuring spoons*
- Glass measuring cup*
- Digital scale* to measure ingredients
