Chick-Fil-A Sauce Casserole–a chicken, bacon and potato casserole with sweet and tangy Chick-fil-A sauce made in your Instant Pot.

Chick-Fil-A Sauce Casserole
Today’s recipe has a combination of creamy, savory, and slightly tangy flavors that make it an instant crowd-pleaser. The star of the show, Chick-fil-A sauce provides the dish with its distinct sweet and tangy flavor. If you’re a fan of Chick-fil-A sauce you’re going to love this Instant Pot potato and chicken casserole.
With the help of your Instant Pot and a steamer basket* potatoes can be cooked perfectly in just a 4 minute pressure cook time. The Instant Pot is the only way I cook potatoes these days. It’s just so much faster. Plus there is no boiling water to deal with. I hope you enjoy this casserole as much as we did!
Ingredients/Substitution Ideas
- Russet potatoes–or red potatoes
- Cream cheese
- Milk
- Chopped, cooked chicken–I used rotisserie chicken from Costco
- Chick-fil-a sauce–you can find this next to condiments at grocery store
- Bacon crumbles–or 3 pieces of bacon chopped and cooked until crispy
- Green onions–or chives
- Cheddar–or colby jack, mexican blend, etc.
Steps
Pour 1 ½ cups of water into bottom of Instant Pot. Add cubed potatoes into steamer basket. Drop the basket into the bottom of the Instant Pot.

Add cream cheese on top of the potatoes.
Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 4 minutes.

When time is up release the pressure and remove the lid. Remove the steamer basket from the Instant Pot and discard the water.
Use a spoon to move the cream cheese into the Instant Pot. Turn Instant Pot to saute setting (less). Stir in the milk and chick-fil-a sauce in with the cream cheese to make a sauce. Stir the chicken into the sauce and warm through.
Gently stir the potatoes in with the sauce.

Sprinkle the cheese, green onions and bacon on top. Use an air fryer lid to melt the cheese (I did 2 minutes at 400 degrees).

Serve and enjoy!

Notes/Tips
- What is Chick-fil-A Sauce? Chick-fil-A sauce is a sweet and tangy condiment that pairs well with chicken products. It has a distinctive flavor profile with a combination of honey mustard and barbecue sauce, creating a creamy and slightly smoky taste. I find it next to the ketchup and mustard at the grocery store.
- I love cooking bacon in my air fryer*. I cook at 390 degrees for 6 minutes on one side, flip over the bacon and 5 minutes on the other side. It comes out perfectly crispy and there’s no popping and sizzling.
- Feel free to customize the recipe by adding vegetables like broccoli or bell peppers for an extra layer of flavor and nutrition.
- I use my Avokado silicone steamer* basket.
- Serve with a side or roasted broccoli or green beans.
- I used my Duo Crisp 6 quart Instant Pot*. You can also make this in an 8 quart pot.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container* in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
- Other recipes you can make with bacon are loaded baked potato soup and dallas cowboys soup.
- Recipe adapted from Crockpots and Flip Flops.

Suggested sub for bacon? Family does not eat pork products. Turkey bacon is sad.
I second the question….Can I use my crockpot? I threw away my Instant pot and never been happier! I continue to follow you, but only to see the crockpot recipes. 🙂
You could use your crockpot to cook the potatoes. Cut up cubes of potatoes and pour water into crockpot to barely cover the potatoes. Slow cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6 hours. Then drain water and stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on high for 1 more hour.
Can i use pasta instead of potatoes?
★★★★★
yes that would be great. Use 8 ounces of pasta and 2 cups of chicken broth. Add both to pot along with the chicken and cream cheese. Pressure cook for 3-4 minutes (depends on type of pasta). Then stir in the remaining ingredients.
