Merry Christmas! I hope you are enjoying this beautiful season of the year. One of my favorite parts about the Christmas season is all the delicious foods and drinks that we enjoy. Many of the foods I make at Christmas are only made that one time of year. So the food is nostalgic and special. Lately I’ve been using my Instant Pot a lot for my Christmas food. It comes in handy in so many ways. Here are 5 ways I like to use the Instant Pot during Christmas…

Use it to dip things in chocolate
Using your Instant Pot as a double boiler is a great way to melt the chocolate and then keep it warm and melty as you dip, dip, dip until your heart’s content. The Instant Pot keeps the chocolate the PERFECT temperature the entire time that you are dipping. I think that it’s much easier to use than the stove top method or the microwave method.
My chocolate stayed at the perfect temp and as I started getting low in the bowl, I just added a handful of chocolate and it melted quickly. No scorched chocolate. No constant stirring. Perfect in every way.

Chocolate Pretzels are fun to make and delicious to eat! Use white or dark chocolate.
Hot Chocolate Bombs are chocolate shells with marshmallows and hot chocolate inside that explode when you put them in a cup of hot milk or water. Use your silicone egg bite molds to shape the melted chocolate.
Use it for hot chocolate and apple cider
Apple cider is aromatic and cozy. It can be made fast in your Instant Pot and then kept at the perfect temperature with the keep warm setting.
Instant Pot Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate is a twist on a classic. It has notes of salted caramel and it’s just a dream! Perfect for holiday merriment!
Use it to proof your Christmas bread doughs
If you have a yogurt button on your Instant Pot you can use it to proof bread dough in less than half the time! Make this festive and delicious pesto Christmas tree bread.
Use it to make your breakfast casseroles

Use it to help prepare Christmas dinner
My family usually has a repeat Thanksgiving type of dinner on Christmas with turkey, potatoes, rolls, corn, sweet potatoes, etc. The Instant Pot can help out with side dishes or even cook a turkey breast.

Howdy Karen:
I just read the people’s reply-letters to you and I discovered that your letters are from me. Thank you, you are my favorite recipe go to person. (I only use Instant Pot). “Hay and straw ” … up to the menu’s top again, and last week it was “Stuffed Bell Pepper casserole”. My wife is looking pretty good, she’s the one still on the “Keto” diet, sorry I can’t eat any of the “Keto”, well … one or two recipes are OK. “Merry Christmas” to you and your family too.

Karen, I have your enticing choc billionaires recipe marked for after the holidays. When all our sweets have run out, and we need a treat in the new year, they look just the ticket. The giant bag of Costco pecans in my fridge will be calling me to use ’em 😉.
Like Jim Bob above, I also plan to make your “hay & straw” -> I specifically bought fettuccine and linguini for it! What a great way to use heavy cream left from my holiday baking. Perfect recipe timing, Karen.
As ever, thanks for all the great inspiration you give us, Karen. Holiday warmth, hugs and joy to you and your loved ones ❤
Thank you so much Jennie! I promise you will love those chocolate billionaires! They are so good!

Merry Christmas to you and your family. I was a Pecan Farmer 25 years ago and you just reminded me to make the “Pecan Custers.” Today I am making the “Hay and Straw”. The grand kids have requested Instant pot Pizza casserole. Merry Christmas again. Jim Bob
