Happy 12 year anniversary to 365 Days of Slow and Pressure Cooking! It’s been a fun journey and I am so happy to share it with you. Thank you so much for following along for the past week or past 12 years. However long you’ve been here I am grateful you have chosen to visit this website and that you are part of the 365 Days family!

When I first started blogging in 2009 my only goal was to cook 365 days a row in my crockpot. I had a 3 year old and a 6 month old at the time and was a stay at home mom that needed a hobby for herself. I thought the 365 days challenge would be fun and perhaps I could put the recipes into a cookbook at the end of the year. I learned a lot about sticking with something even when you want to quit. At the end of the year I was proud of myself but didn’t really want to keep going with the blog. I was burnt out.

Luckily I did keep blogging, although not every day. I shared my favorite creations from my slow cooker. And I was blessed with the opportunity to publish my first cookbook, 365 Days of Slow Cooking*.

In 2017 I was introduced to the Instant Pot and started sharing recipes. 365 Days accelerated at a rate that I hadn’t ever imagined could be possible! The blog grew and allowed Greg and I to pay off our house. It was an amazing blessing that I thank God for everyday.

Stats from 365 Days over the past 12 years.

I love creating and sharing recipes with you and hope that you find value here. I hope Greg and I will keep doing what we are doing for many more years to come. It truly is my dream job.

To celebrate the past 12 years I thought I would share some of the “most populars” with you. Did any of your favorites make the list?

First!, Congratulations on 12 yrs!! I have only been with you for 2 yrs. I started watching your U Tube videos before I bought my instant pot. I fell in love with your videos and really taught me a lot about pressure cooking. Iโ€™ve been receiving your recipes and cooked many of them as well.
Iโ€™ve passed on your website to many new bees to instant pot cookers.
I purchased the first round of the published cookbook. Just kind of wished I had waited and got one with the table of contents.
Thanks Karen for all your hard work and the education you have passed on to many!!!
I will continue to always be a fan!!! Fran Singleton. Myrtle Beach , SC

Got the cookbook, love it, and even ordered an additional one for a relative! I’m looking forward to next edition and asking for pot in pot section, and desserts. By the way, I really like when you post a recipe that you let us know it’s a new recipe, not in the book! Great idea! When my hubby says, “What’s for dinner?” all I have to reply is “Instant Pot!” and he’s happy!

    Hi Karen,
I joined your group about 18 months ago, when i got my first instant pot. Im a devotee, and now have 2 (one for each of my homes), (a 6 and an 8 qt). i can trust you and your recipes, and love that they are never bland (sometimes i tone it down a bit, but usually they are spot on). i love how you educate us as to how to modify recipes for a larger or smaller IP, so we can confidently do some experimentation of our own. Your latest cookbook is a font of information and deliciousness. There is a lot of variety, so i can pick and choose recipes that suit my current needs (not feeding a family, and looking for lower carbs and healthy options).
i have heartily recommended your site to new users of the IP, it is a great way for newbies to learn how to use it, and to get recipes to start out with. Your recipes are bullet proof, i know they will work. I like the search function.
I am glad that your blog and hard work have paid off in your personal life. it is clear that you put a lot of work into it, and you are deserving of all that you receive. thank you.

You are an inspiration in many ways. I wouldn’t be using my instant pot without you and your blog. Thank you so much for all the wonderful recipes, tips and information. Your rib and split pea soup recipes are two of our very favorites. I haven’t ordered your cook book, but think that maybe I need the second edition!
My best wishes for another 12 years!

My sincerest Congratulations, Karen. Your site, your recipes and your knowledge are amazing. My son and DIL asked for an IP for Christmas and I ordered (and received) your wonderful cookbook as an addition. Love the way it lays flat – making it so much easier to read and follow the recipe! Thanks! Exciting…I especially like the QR code. I prefer having recipes in my Copy Me That app so I can easily rate the ones we have tried, search by ingredient and create shopping lists. Canโ€™t wait to use the QR code to find them online.

I love your recipes. I really thought for a long while about getting an Instant Pot. finally I bought a 6 qt and love it. My son also bought me the 8 qt, because my son has a 17 year old son. They live with me and my grandson eats a lot of food and never gains an ounce. I did buy your cook book Love it. But since I have bad eyes, my right eye sight is almost gone. and my left eye is getting bad now. Just wish it was in larger print and the index was in the book, But I printed out the index and my son bought me a magnify glass that is 8 x 10 Helps some. Thank you for making the recipes so easy to understand and easy to follow. Keep up the good work. Sue

Happy 12th!! Your recipes make my life so much easier! They are easy, taste amazing, and use regular ingredients that I often already have on hand. Reading the above mention of โ€œvolume oneโ€ in regard to 365 Days of Pressure Cooking definitely has me smiling! I would buy a โ€œvolume 2โ€ in a red hot second! Love the cookbook, anyone considering it, just buy it! You wonโ€™t regret it!!
