Millionaire Chicken

Millionaire Chicken

Chicken with cheese, ranch, cream cheese and bacon is always a win in my book. This is an oven recipe that has lots of flavor. You may want to double the recipe and make it in a 9×13 inch pan! Enjoy!

Recipe adapted from Million Dollar Chicken Bake on Easy Family Recipes.

Ingredients/Substitution Ideas

  • Chicken tenderloins–or thinly sliced chicken breasts
  • Dry ranch dressing mix–I use Hidden Valley
  • Bacon–or bacon crumbles
  • Cream cheese
  • Mayonnaise
  • Sour cream
  • Milk
  • Cheddar cheese–I like using sharp
  • Green onions

Steps

Heat oven to 350° F.

Toss the chicken tenderloins in the ranch dressing mix. Place the chicken in a 8×8 inch baking dish.

In a bowl mix together the cream cheese, mayo, sour cream and milk until smooth and creamy (you may want to use a hand mixer). Fold in the green onions and the bacon crumbles. Spread the mixture over the chicken.

Bake for 20 minutes. Sprinkle the cheese on top and bake for 10 more minutes. (If you use frozen chicken tenderloins you’ll need to increase cooking time by 10 minutes).

Notes/Tips

  • Serve with mashed potatoes and green salad or green beans.
  • I like to use a meat thermometer* to test the chicken for doneness. Make sure the middle part of the chicken is cooked to 165° F.
  • You can easily double this recipe. Bake in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • This recipe is gluten free (just make sure your ranch dressing mix is labeled as such).
  • This recipe is low carb.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container* in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
  • Other recipes you can make with dry ranch dressing mix are Instant Pot Mashed Ranch Cauliflower or Ranch Chicken Taco Rice.
Did you know you can filter the recipes on my website to search by meat type, IP or Crockpot, low carb, gluten free, etc.? Use the filter to find exactly what you are looking for.

Description

Chicken tenderloins in a sauce with cream cheese, bacon and green onion and topped with melty cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken tenderloins
  • 1 Tbsp dry ranch dressing mix
  • 4 slices of bacon, fried and crumbled
  • 3 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp milk
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 green onions, diced

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350° F.
  2. Toss the chicken tenderloins in the ranch dressing mix. Place the chicken in a 8×8 inch baking dish.
  3. In a bowl mix together the cream cheese, mayo, sour cream and milk until smooth and creamy (you may want to use a hand mixer). Fold in the green onions and the bacon crumbles. Spread the mixture over the chicken.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes. Sprinkle the cheese on top and bake for 10 more minutes. (If you use frozen chicken tenderloins you’ll need to increase cooking time by 10 minutes).

Notes

I use my air fryer to cook my bacon until crispy. Preheat your air fryer to around 375°F – 400°F, then lay bacon slices in a single layer in the basket without too much overlap; cook for 7-9 minutes, flipping halfway through, until it reaches your desired level of crispiness, and then transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease
