Olive Garden Lasagna Dip
If you love Olive Garden lasagna dip try making this version at home! It’s seriously so tasty. The Italian sausage adds sooo much flavor. You’re going to want to eat the dip with a spoon. No breadsticks are even needed–lol!
Ingredients/Substitution Ideas
- Ground Italian sausage–I used mild
- Marinara sauce–I used Ragu
- Garlic powder
- Italian seasoning–or you can make your own
- Ricotta–or cottage cheese
- Parmesan cheese–shredded or grated
- Mozzarella cheese–I shred mine off the block for better meltability
Basic Steps
- Brown the Italian sausage and drain off the excess grease.
- Stir in the marinara, garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
- Spoon ricotta/parmesan mixture over the top and sprinkle with mozzarella.
- Heat through with air fryer lid on top of Instant Pot, or slow cook or heat in the oven.
- Serve dip with breadsticks or garlic bread.
Notes/Tips
- How I drain grease in the Instant Pot: Tilt the Instant Pot to one side while holding the ground meat against the other side with a wooden spoon. This should make most of the grease pool on the tilted side. Lower the Instant Pot down, the meat should stay to its side and the grease on the other. Place a couple paper towels into the grease and use the spoon to sop up the grease. Discard the paper towels.
- Serve with warm breadsticks (homemade, freezer or Pillsbury refrigerated breadsticks), garlic bread, sliced baguette or homemade French bread. Sometimes I like to brush olive oil on pita bread and sprinkle it with garlic powder. Then I bake at 400 for 5 minutes and slice into pieces. They taste almost as good as homemade breadsticks but take a fraction of the effort.
- This dip would also make an amazing sauce for spaghetti! Spoon over hot cooked spaghetti.
- I used my 6 quart Instant Pot*. You can also make this in a 8 quart pot. Halve the recipe in the 3 quart pot.
- This dip is gluten-free. What would be a good gluten-free dipper?? Veggies maybe? Not quite as fun as warm breadsticks.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container* in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
- Other recipes you can make with ricotta cheese are Instant Pot Million Dollar Potato Casserole or Instant Pot Cowboy Lasagna.
