Montana Happy Soup–a true dump and go slow cooker (or Instant Pot) recipe! This ham and bean soup is warm, comforting and a perfect easy weeknight dinner.

Slow Cooker Ham and White Bean Soup
This soup just hit the spot! It is so basic and simple but sometimes those are the best recipes, right? I loved how I didn’t have to sauté anything…I just dumped everything into the slow cooker and let it cook on low while I worked and did errands. The ham bone gives the broth such a savory depth, and the beans make it nice and hearty without feeling heavy. This makes great leftovers for lunch the next day! Enjoy 🙂 (This recipe is adapted from Montana Happy).

Notes/Tips
- Serve with warm cornbread and a green salad.
- This recipe can be gluten free. Just make sure to use gluten-free Worcestershire sauce.
- Make sure to include the ham bone…it adds so much flavor! If you don’t have a ham steak with a bone, you can use leftover holiday ham or even a smoked ham hock.
- Want it creamier? Lightly mash some of the beans before serving.
- I used my 6 quart Ninja slow cooker.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container* in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
