Slow Cooker Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate
Tis the season for hot cocoa! Kids wake up in the morning and it’s chilly “mom, can we have hot chocolate?” Kids come home from school after walking home in the cold, “mom, can we have hot chocolate?” Kids want to build a snowman or go sledding, “mom, can we have hot chocolate?” Kids want to make hot chocolate for Santa. You get the point. I know that kids love hot chocolate but this mama loves it too. Sometimes when my kids are at school and I’m working on my laptop I snuggle up with a lap blanket and get a cup of hot cocoa. It warms me up and makes me feel so cozy.
A few years agoย I shared a slow cooker hot cocoa mix and free printable that you can share with your neighbors for Christmas. Last year I made salted caramel hot chocolate (still to this day the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had). And this year I went a little out of the box and made peanut butter hot chocolate. If you’re a fan of peanut butter and chocolate you’ll love this recipe. I just used plain old 1% milk because I felt with the creaminess and fat from the peanut butter I didn’t need to use a whole milk. To sweeten the hot chocolate I used powdered sugar because it isn’t granulated and it dissolves easier. I had all the ingredients for this slow cooker peanut butter hot chocolate in my house. That’s my kind of recipe! I hope you enjoy.

What Slow Cooker Did You Use?
For this slow cooker peanut butter hot chocolate I used my small 3 quart slow cooker. I love this little slow cooker because it’s super cute and it’s just the perfect size for side dishes, drinks or small meals. It fits into my sink so I can easily handwash it and it fits in the bottom or top of my dishwasher so I can easily stick it in there to get clean. I try to use this 3 quart slow cooker any time I can!
