Notes/Tips
- Serve with a green salad and garlic bread.
- I have not tried this recipe with refrigerated tortellini. I believe it would work. I would use a zero minute pressure cooking time. If you are confused by what that means then read this article on “what is a zero minute pressure cooking time?” Remember that even though the pot just barely comes to pressure and then turns off it is cooking the whole time the pot builds pressure (about 5-7 minutes
- I used my 6 quart Instant Pot*. You can also make this in a 3 or 8 quart pot.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container* in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

I made this as an easy weekday meal. I’m limited on movement and disabled so recipes like this save my life… cooking for a working husband and elderly father-in-law. This recipe is amazing. the only difference I do is at the end. I sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and put the lid back on for 10 minutes. It gives a great melted cheesy layer on it.
Karen says
Yum I do love a cheesy layer!
