Do you have a round slow cooker or an oval? I have, oh, about 5 oval crockpots and 1 round. Do worry 3 of those are in one of those handy dandy triple buffet servers. So really I only have 4 total slow cookers. However you want to look at it I have a lot.
If you are going to buy a new slow cooker I would recommend an oval slow cooker. The reasons?
1. The oval shape can fit odd cuts of meat.
2. The round shape has more surface area for the food to stick to (and therefore less for you to eat).
3. The round is good for soups but not so much for baking of desserts. It is too deep and the middle will be mushy and the sides will be burnt. Oval slow cookers cook much more evenly.
