Instant Pot Brownie Bites
If you’re like me and like the middle piece in a pan of brownies with no crust you’ll probably like these brownie bites. If you’re more of a crust piece type of person you won’t like these brownie bites. They are super soft and dense and chocolatey. They are very fast and easy to make since a brownie mix is used. I like eating these brownie bites with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

To make Instant Pot brownie bites you’ll need:
- 6 or 8 quart Instant Pot*
- 2 Silicone egg bite molds* (1 brownie mix fill 2 molds)
- Brownie mix (plus the ingredients to make it like oil, eggs, and water)
- Paper towel
- Foil
- Trivet and/or sling*
- Scoop* (isn’t necessary but it is helpful)

Do you like the gooey, no crust piece in a pan of brownies? You will like Instant Pot brownie bites!!! Gooey, brownies that are made with a box of brownie mix in your egg bites silicone mold.
Ingredients
- 1 (18.4 oz) Brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on box to make brownie batter)
Instructions
- Follow the directions on the box to make the brownie batter.
- Spray 2 egg bites molds with a bit of nonstick cooking spray. Fill each mold about ⅔ full.
- Cover each mold with a paper towel and then cover with foil. Stack the molds on top of each other and place on a trivet with handles.
- Pour 1 cup of water into your Instant Pot (1.5 cups for 8 quart). Lower the trivet into your Instant Pot. Cover the pot and lock the lid into place. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 25 minutes (for warm and gooey brownie bites) or 30 minutes (for more set brownies).
- When the time is up let the pot sit for 10 minutes and then move the valve to venting. Remove the lid. Remove the pans from the pot. Uncover. Let cool for 10 or more minutes then turn the mold over onto a plate. Eat and enjoy!

I like the Pillsbury Chocolate Fudge Brownie mix best.

Hi Karen,
What size (in diameter per section) of the silicone mold did you use. I made these in a mold where each section was 3/4” in diameter – they turned out great! However I ordered 2 more molds that turned out to be bigger. Each section of the molds are 2” in diameter. What size did you use for yours. I’m making them for a football game gathering tonight. These tasted awesome! But I need to know what size mold you used. Thanks!
Hi, mine were 2 inches in diameter
Love these little bites of brownie goodness. For my family members who like a little more “crunch” on the outside of their brownies, I’ve found that I can layer them in my air fryer on 350° for just a few minutes and it gives them what they want, and, they stay chewy inside. I’ve also made these with a small amount of cherry pie filling in the middle and a small piece of dark chocolate. They are a decadent litttle treat this way. My son makes them with a mini peanut butter cups in the middle or yolos candy, and they are super!
oh yeah! I love all of these ideas! I need to come over to your house for dessert 😉
Made these today for the second time for my wife’s prayer group. Put a maraschino cherry in the little indentation and then some whipped cream around it. That were great. Fressure cooked for 30 minutes which was the only change. Used Dunkin Hines mix. Thanks for the recipe.
I love the idea about the cherry! AND the prayer group…that is so neat!
I have a Crockpot express….would I use high or low pressure for these? They sound great!
high pressure
I’ve made this several times. it’s easy and delicious, with the size and shape perfect for a packed lunch.
Yum! I want that in my lunch!
These are*so* good that they’ve inspired at least two of my friends to get an IP!! I use Dunkin Hines 18.2 oz dark chocolate fudge brownie mix with 2 eggs and I use a trimmed down coffee filter between the silicone lids and the mold. These are SERIOUSLY good brownies!!!
Love that idea! Thanks for the 5 stars 🙂
Are you using a paper towel underneath the foil to absorb any moisture? My molds came with silicone lids that attach but I do notice when I make my egg bites that the lids detach and there is moisture.
Good idea! I would try it out
I only have 1 egg mold if I make half the batter than the next time make the second does the cook/pressure time change?
Should be similar…maybe an extra minute or two for second batch since pot will already be warmed up
What to do with leftover batter?
I didn’t have much or any leftover batter with mine. I wonder if we are using different size brownie mixes? I would just freeze and save for another brownie bite day!
These were delicious!. I made the 2 molds and just put the silicone lids on instead of the paper and foil. I took the lids off as soon as they were done and they were fine!
Great to know about the silicone lid working well. Thanks Susan!
I did these on Pressure Cook 30 minutes (I was hoping for well done brownies-that didn’t pan out as expected). Everything else was done exactly as directed in the recipe. The bites were formed, but still gooey in the middle-not that it stopped my husband & I from enjoying them with mint chocolate chip ice cream:). I’m a beginner at all of this-any advice would be greatly welcomed! Thank you!
They won’t get “well done” or crispy at all in the Instant pot. They’ll be more like soft gooey middle of the pan brownies because of the moist environment in the Instant Pot.
Thanks for clearing that up Karen. I appreciate you replying. Have a great day!
After 25 minutes I pulled them out and they seemed just as gooey as when I put them in. Any idea what I might have done wrong? I used EVOO, could that have anything to do with it?
probably not…I am not sure why they didn’t cook at all. That is so strange! 😩
When making brownie bites, can you use the silicone cover that comes with the mold rather than a paper towel/tin foil as suggested in the recipe
Yes, that is fine as long as it is silicone and not plastic.
Thanks for the quick response.
Do you have a recipe for Instant Pot brownie bites made from scratch?
No, but I should make one! That sounds great!
Can you use this mold in the mini Insta pot? It’s a tight fit but it will go in. 😬
I never have tried that. It’s good when the air can circulate around the mold so if it’s in too tight I’m not sure it will work properly.
Any way to make these in IP if I dont have the egg mold?
I don’t have any good ideas! Anyone else know?
Ramekins ate great if don’t have egg bite mold.
Good tip!
Maybe some of the silicone cupcake liners?
This sound great! But I only gave one mold. Karen, can I use only one at a time & do it twice??
Yes or you could save half the mix for another day.
I tried these and they were so delicious – better than brownies baked in the oven! I made one batch in the Instant Pot and one in the oven and the IP ones were darker and not as crusty – so so good! My question is, if I make only one batch, do I need to cover with a paper towel or foil?
I would cover to prevent drippage on top of brownies
