Game Summary: Leftover Roast Beef Stew vs. Pulled Pork Tacos

The winner is…

Roast Beef Stew

Roast Beef Stew

Pulled Pork Tacos

Jill was on the sidelines of this game.  It looks like both teams made a lot of mistakes.  Jill, can you tell us more?

I’m torn because I really wasn’t a huge fan of the taste of either one. Jason liked the taco’s best and I liked the stew(it was better the second day). Emily is my best eater and she gobbled up the stew and had seconds and hardly ate the taco. I would change some things if I made them again.

The taco’s-I wouldn’t add as much chili powder and cocoa…I think that the chili powder kind of choked me up during the day of smelling it cook that it didn’t taste as appetizing. We added cheese and guacamole to the tacos. We also put the meat in chips and made a little appetizer.

The stew-I would add in the seasoning in at the beginning to marinate all the flavors and maybe add less Italian seasoning.

My winner is the STEW. I would try and make it again.

I’m the type of person that I need to taste something before I try to cook it so this was a big leap for me and I am glad I did it…it proves to me that I can make things work. Bring on round 2!!

Thanks, Jill.  Good insights!
