Frequently Asked Question #1

I’ve been getting quite a few e-mails lately asking me various questions. I thought I would answer a few in case you’ve been wondering also.

FAQ #1: What are you going to do after the year is over? Will your blog still be available?

After I’ve cooked 365 different slow cooker recipes, I am going to go out to dinner! I’m going take several days off of cooking. And then I’ll probably make some of my family’s favorite dishes that are not made in a slow cooker. I’m going to RELAX! It’s been a fun project, but it will be fun to get it done. It has been very time consuming.

My blog will still be available, for sure. I’ll probably update it weekly, instead of daily, with a new slow cooker recipe. I’ll also be compiling a cookbook. If you’re interested, you can e-mail me.

I’ll be back tomorrow with another FAQ…until then

Mainly wanted to use it for side dishes and itโ€™s just the two of us. Looks like Iโ€™m in for a little trial and error along with some patience. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thanks for your help.

I have been using the 6 quart Instant Pot for about a month now and love it. Today I got the mini 3 quart to use as well. I tried a to cook a large baked potato. 3/4 cup of water for 20 minutes with a natural release/keep warm for 15 mins or so. It was way undercooked and I ended up having to finish in the microwave. Ugh.
Was it not enough time, not enough water? Do I need to adjust cooking times compared to the 6 quart?
Not gonna lie – I was bummed.
    Thanks
    Karen

The 3 quart cooks at a lower pressure so you may need to increase time on it. It also takes less time to build and release pressure so that doesn’t help the situation either.
