This is a guest post by Chandie, mother of 3 boys! She is so cute and enthusiastic…love her! This looks fantastic and easy, with simple ingredients that I usually have on hand. Thanks, Chandie!
4 large or 6 small chicken breasts
1 small or regular bottle salsa (depending on how saucy you like it)
2 cans (regular size) black beans or pinto beans – I like it with 1 can of each.
Garlic salt
Pepper
Cook all above items in crock pot on low for 6 hours. Shred up chicken in crock pot right before serving. Serve on warm tortillas with grated cheese, sour cream, lettuce, avocado, and squeeze of lime juice. Wrap up and enjoy!

If you are feeling up to making your own tortilla’s they are delicious!
I took the picture before the other toppings, but you get the idea. This meal is a staple in our home and is requested often. Hope you enjoy!
I made this with just one can of drained black beans and one can of corn – so good! I only used a little salsa since I'm not into tomatoes really. But this was such a great basic recipe! I ate mine plain (since I'm trying not to eat bread).
I really appreciate your blog – I'm new to crock pots and can't stop getting excited about all of the options you've presented! THANK YOU!
I made it and my kids ate it up! I drained the beans-black & kidney, and used about 1 1/2 cups of salsa, since we buy it from costco. We used corn tortillas and that DID NOT work, but eating it with tortilla chips worked good. YUMMY-I'll make it again!
As a note – I usually just eyeball the salsa depending on how saucy I want it. I probably use closer to a regular or more bottle of salsa when I make it. It’s just up to you. Thanks for posting Karen – LOVE this website!! 🙂
