2 oz semisweet chocolate
6 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1 egg
1 egg yolk
In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and chocolate together. Set aside. In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar and cornstarch. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and yolk together. Add the melted butter-chocolate mixture to the sugar mixture and combine thoroughly with a wire whisk. Stir in the eggs and whisk just until smooth. Scoop the mixture into 3 ramekins so they are 2/3 full. Place on top of a rack inside the slow cooker. Cover and cook on HIGH for 1-1 1/2 hours. Center should still jiggle. Serve immediately with vanilla ice cream. Makes 3 servings.
Review:
The good and the bad thing about this dessert is that there is only 3 servings and then it’s gone. Not like a pan of brownies that you can just keep eating and eating and eating. Don’t forget the ice cream with this dessert it is an absolute must. 4 stars
I’ve never heard of a rack in a slow-cooker. I do have a roaster that has one. If I don’t have a rack. how do I sit it in the slow,-cooker?
I just use a little trivet. You can also ball up pieces of foil and place them in the bottom of your slow cooker.
This looks wonderful. Can you double the recipe to make 6 in a 6 qt. Crockpot?
yes!
Make a double batch and use two slow cookers.
OMG, we loved this, so simple and easy, I used splenda for sugar as my hubby is diabetic. Would make again and again! Could not believe how simple and delicious this was. thank you so much for this recipe it will go done in our family recipe book. Sil in Texas
no, you don't need to add water. Enjoy!
Your souffle recipe looks nice and simple. I am really looking forward to trying it. Just one question – do you need to add an inch of boiling water to the bottom of the slow cooker bowl? I have seen this done in pudding recipes…
looks yummy…
