6 lasagna noodles, uncooked
16 oz jar Alfredo sauce
2 tbsp water
3/4 cups chicken cooked and diced
8 oz cottage cheese
1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
Break 2 noodles to fit into bottom of 3 quart slow cooker. Layer of third Alfredo, half water, half of chicken over the noodles. Spread half of cottage cheese and sprinkle a third of mozzarella over meat layer. Add another layer of noodles. Layer a third of Alfredo, remaining chicken, water and cottage cheese. Sprinkle second third of mozzarella. Layer remaining noodles, sauce, and mozzarella. Cover and cook on low heat for 4-5 hours. Do not cook more that 5 hours.
Yum. This is a very tasty dish. You’ll love it if you like Alfredo. It is not very healthy though and there aren’t any vegetables in it. I think it would be good to add some spinach to this. Or make it into a Alfredo and broccoli lasagna. I probably won’t serve this very often to my family because of the guilt factor. Although I would really like to eat it everyday, if I didn’t worry about my waistline and arteries. 🙂 3 stars
Send me the recipe [email protected] and I'll look at it and try to convert it!
I have a really great vegetable lasagna recipe but don't know how to convert it so I can do it in the crockpot. Can you help?
I dont think I will make this one too many calories and no veggies .
