Makes about 25 small meatballs
1 lb Gold’n Plump ground chicken
1/2 cup quick oats
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 garlic clove, minced
1 egg
2 Tbsp bread crumbs
Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Stir until all ingredients are mixed in well. Form into meatballs (I used my ice cream scoop). Place in the bottom of a large slow cooker. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2-3 hours.
Review:
Okay. I must admit, I was a little weirded out by ground chicken. I’d never really heard of it before and had never tried it. BUT, it was GREAT! YAY! It is super-duper lean. So you can use uncooked ground chicken in the slow cooker and at the end of the cooktime it’s not sitting in about 2 inches of grease, like beef would. These “meatballs” were faves of my kids and I. Of course, Greg would always prefer red meat. But he ate them happily as well (with a little bit of barbecue sauce). 4 stars

Have you ever tried ground turkey? It's a favorite in may family. You can also find turkey bacon, we prefer it to pork bacon.
Wow, I've never heard of ground chicken, either! How interesting…
Other than BBQ sauce, what else can you eat them with? Or were they good just by themselves?
Thanks!
