Adam Sandler Casserole–an easy Instant Pot recipe that is a mash up of sloppy joes and spaghetti. Tangy and delicious!

Adam Sandler Casserole
Whenever I think of sloppy joes I think of Adam Sandler singing “sloppy joe slop sloppy joe sloppy joe slop sloppy joe”. They are forever connected in my brain. Today’s recipe is a cross between spaghetti and sloppy joe and it was so good. I had multiple servings (which I rarely do!). This dish has a bold, tangy-sweet, and savory flavor. Enjoy! And make sure to have a napkin on hand because this is a sloppy meal.
Ingredients/Substitution Ideas
- Lean ground beef–or ground turkey
- Onion–yellow or white
- Kosher salt
- Black pepper
- Garlic powder
- Beef or chicken broth–or water and Better than Bouillon
- Spaghetti
- Tomato sauce
- Mustard
- Ketchup–I use Heinz
- Worcestershire sauce
- Green chiles–I use mild
- Mozzarella cheese
- Parmesan cheese
Steps
Turn Instant Pot to saute setting. When display says HOT add in the beef and break it up. Add in the onion. Brown for 5 minutes. Drain off excess grease. Stir in the salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Pour in the broth and scrape bottom of pot so that nothing is sticking. Turn off Instant Pot.

Break up spaghetti into 2 inch pieces. Scatter the spaghetti into the pot. Pour the tomato sauce evenly over the spaghett. Add in the mustard, ketchup, Worcestershire and diced green chiles.

Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set manual/pressure cook button to 4 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 10 minutes and then move valve to venting. Remove the lid.

Sprinkle the mozzarella and parmesan on top and let it melt.

Serve and enjoy!

Notes/Tips
- Serve with a green salad.
- Try using diced green bell pepper instead of green chiles for a more genuine sloppy joe taste.
- I used my 6 quart Instant Pot*. You can also make this in a 3 or 8 quart pot.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container* in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
