And the creamy wild rice soup edges out the cashew chicken in a close close game.  Wow!  Shannon, how did this game go?

Creamy Wild Rice and Chicken Soup:
So good. Even the rice is creamy after cooking all day. This is serious comfort food. Too bad it was 90 degrees outside, because this would be fabulous on a cold or rainy evening. With the white sauce, it reminds me of the flavor of a chicken and dumpling soup. It was super cheap to make. I think it would work well with a cheaper piece of bone-in chicken too, since you pull them out to shred anyway.  This was everyone's favorite...but barely. Each person I asked had a hard time picking one over the other.

Cashew Chicken:
It smelled so good, we almost finished the entire pot before I remembered to take a picture! It was fairly easy - just one step away from dumping everything in. The flavor was excellent. Everyone ate it. The kids asked for more. It was also super cheap, less than $1 per serving. I would double this next time because I love me some leftovers. This may be my new go-to slow cooker rice recipe.  I really mourn that this one didn't win, because I loved it too. Good game, cashew chicken. Tough call. It was a heartbreaker.

Shannon, I agree with you.  I am mourning the loss of my beloved cashew chicken.  I was thinking/hoping it would go all the way.  But they played a good game and all we can ask for is honesty from our families.  So the creamy chicken and wild rice soup goes all the way to the FINAL FOUR!  Way to go.
