Day 46: Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff with Rice

1 1/2 lbs beef stew meat

2 Tbsp onion soup mix
1 (4 oz) can mushrooms, drained
1 (10 3/4 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup sour cream
4 oz cream cheese

In 2-3 quart slow cooker, mix stew meat and dry soup mix until evenly coated. Top with mushrooms and soup. Cover and cook on LOW for 7-8 hours. Just before serving, stir sour cream and cream cheese into beef mixture until smooth. Serve over hot cooked rice. Makes 5 servings.
Review:
This recipe was very tasty! When I added the sour cream I added 4 oz of cream cheese at the same time. Cream cheese makes everything taste better! I also left out the chives. The steak was so tender. When I asked Greg if he liked this recipe he said "5 star it up!" So I give this recipe 5 stars.

  3. This is the best one I have tryed. The meat was wonderful, full of flavor. I should have doubled the recipe, my family ate it all. I had to keep my daughters fork out of it inorder to save some for my husband when he came home from work!!
