Description
A fast, dump and go Instant Pot penne pasta recipe with chicken parm vibes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 1 (24.5 oz) jar marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 to 2 cups chopped cooked chicken (I used rotisserie)
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- non-stick cooking spray
Instructions
- Pour broth into Instant Pot. Sprinkle in the pasta. Dump the marinara over the pasta. Add chicken, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning and garlic powder into the pot.
- Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 4 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 5 minutes and then move valve to venting. Remove the lid.
- Stir. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese on top. Sprinkle the panko on top. Lightly spray the panko with non-stick cooking spray.
- If you have an air fryer lid place it on top and air fry at 400° F for 3 minutes. If you don’t have an air fryer lid place the Instant Pot liner under your oven’s broiler for a couple minutes until the panko browns up.
- Serve and enjoy!
