Description

A fast, dump and go Instant Pot penne pasta recipe with chicken parm vibes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 (24.5 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups chopped cooked chicken (I used rotisserie)
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • non-stick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Pour broth into Instant Pot. Sprinkle in the pasta. Dump the marinara over the pasta. Add chicken, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning and garlic powder into the pot.
  2. Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 4 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 5 minutes and then move valve to venting. Remove the lid.
  3. Stir. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese on top. Sprinkle the panko on top. Lightly spray the panko with non-stick cooking spray.
  4. If you have an air fryer lid place it on top and air fry at 400° F for 3 minutes. If you don’t have an air fryer lid place the Instant Pot liner under your oven’s broiler for a couple minutes until the panko browns up.
  5. Serve and enjoy!
