Description
Seasoned ground beef, mushrooms and onions with monterey jack cheese. An easy Instant Pot deconstructed version of the steakhouse favorite.

- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 cup sliced or diced onion
- 1/4 cup broth
- 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
- 1 tsp Lawry’s seasoned salt
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Dash of liquid smoke
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 3/4 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
Instructions
- Turn Instant Pot to saute setting. When display says HOT add in the ground beef and break it up. Add in the onions. Brown the beef for about 5 minutes. Drain off excess grease.
- Pour in the broth and scrape bottom of pot so that nothing is sticking. Turn off Instant Pot.
- Dump in the mushrooms. Dump in the seasoned salt, Worcestershire, liquid smoke, pepper and butter.
- Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 3 minutes. When time is up move valve to venting and remove the lid.
- Stir in the cheese.
- Scoop onto plates and serve. We like to serve over toast or mashed potatoes.
