Description

An easy Instant Pot pasta dish featuring sausage, green pepper, corn and cheddar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 pound ground sausage
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 4 ounces rotini
  • 1 (15 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup frozen sweet corn
  • 1/2 cup diced green pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Turn Instant Pot to saute setting. When display says HOT add in the sausage and break it up. Add in the onion and brown for 5 minutes. Drain off excess grease.
  2. Stir in the broth and scrape bottom of pot so that nothing is sticking. Turn off Instant Pot.
  3. Sprinkle in the rotini. Dump in the tomatoes, corn, green pepper, Italian seasoning, onion powder and garlic powder.
  4. Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 3 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 5-10 minutes and then move valve to venting. Remove the lid.
  5. Stir. Sprinkle the cheese on top and let it melt. Serve and enjoy!
