Description

An upside down biscuit pizza casserole made in an Instant Pot with air fryer lid or in your oven. 


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 (12 oz) package Pillsbury Grands! Crescents
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar

Instructions

Instant Pot with Air Fryer Lid Instructions:

  1. Turn Instant Pot to saute setting. When display says HOT add in the beef and brown until cooked through. Drain off excess grease, if needed. Stir in the salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder and marinara sauce.
  2. Simmer for 5 minutes on saute (less) setting. 
  3. Open the package of crescent rolls and slice into 8 round slices. Then cut those 8 slices in half (so you’ll have 16 half moon slices of rolls). 
  4. Place the dough slices evenly over the meat sauce. Cover Instant Pot with air fryer lid. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Then use a fork to turn dough pieces over. Bake for 10 more minutes at 350. Test dough for doneness. 
  5. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake for 2 more minutes.
  6. Serve and enjoy. 

Oven Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Heat an oven safe pan or dutch oven over medium high heat. Add in the beef and brown until cooked through. Drain off excess grease, if needed. Stir in the salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder and marinara sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes. Turn off stove.
  3. Open the package of crescent rolls and slice into 8 round slices. Then cut those 8 slices in half (so you’ll have 16 half moon slices of rolls). Place the dough slices evenly over the meat sauce.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes. 
  5. Sprinkle cheeses on top and bake for 5 more minutes. 
  6. Serve and enjoy!
