Description

Easy comfort food! Easy to make homemade meatballs in a brown gravy made in your crockpot.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 brown gravy packet (0.87 oz)
  • 1 Tbsp ketchup
  • 16 oz lean ground beef (I used 85/15)
  • 1/3 cup panko
  • 1 egg
  • 3 Tbsp ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp yellow or brown mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. Add water, gravy packet and 1 Tbsp ketchup into slow cooker and whisk well.
  2. In a mixing bowl add ground beef, panko, egg, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire, garlic salt, pepper and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined. Shape into golf ball–size balls and place them in the slow cooker.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours.
  4. Serve meatballs topped with the gravy.

Notes

I used a 4 quart slow cooker.

This recipe can easily be doubled.

You can also bake these meatballs on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes on the top rack. You can prepare the gravy on the stovetop according to package directions.
