Description

A delicious twist on classic pot roast, this easy crockpot recipe has chicken thighs, carrots and a savory gravy.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 oz boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 carrots, peeled and cut into 1 inch chunks
  • 1 rib of celery, sliced
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 (1 oz) packet of Au Jus mix
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Add chicken, carrots, celery and onion into slow cooker. Pour in the water. Sprinkle in the Au Jus mix, garlic powder and black pepper. 
  2. Cover slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours. 
  3. In a small bowl stir together cornstarch with 2 Tbsp water until smooth. Stir the mixture into the slow cooker to thicken the gravy. 
  4. Shred up or break up the chicken and stir it back into the slow cooker.
  5. Serve and enjoy!
