Description

A crockpot meal with seasoned ground beef, sliced potatoes, and a creamy sauce for an easy weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 3 medium Russet potatoes, peeled and sliced into quarter inch rounds
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can of cream of chicken and mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 Tbsp heavy cream
  • Green onions (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan over medium high heat. Add in the beef and break it up. Add in the onion. Brown for 5 minutes. Drain off excess grease and transfer beef to slow cooker.
  2. Season the beef with the salt, pepper, garlic powder, parsley and paprika. 
  3. Stir in the potatoes, cream of chicken and mushroom soup and broth.
  4. Cover slow cooker and cook on high for 2 ½ hours, or until potatoes are tender.
  5. Stir in the cream. 
  6. Top each serving with some sliced green onions, if desired.
