Description

An easy Instant Pot dinner with Italian sausage, pasta, tomato sauce, cheese and more!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup diced celery
  • 1 1/4 cups chicken broth
  • 4 ounces rotini pasta
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 (15 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded colby jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Turn Instant Pot to saute setting. When display says HOT add in the Italian sausage and break it up. Add in the onion and celery and brown for about 5 minutes. 
  2. Pour in the broth and scrape bottom of pot so that nothing is sticking. Turn off Instant Pot. 
  3. Sprinkle in the rotini pasta, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Dump the tomatoes and peppers on top. Don’t stir.
  4. Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 4 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 5 minutes and then move valve to venting. Remove the lid. 
  5. Stir. Sprinkle the cheese on top and let it melt. Serve and enjoy!
