Description
An easy Instant Pot dish with sausage, rice, peppers and onions.

- 1 pound ground pork sausage
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 2 ribs of celery, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 3/4 cups water
- 1 cup converted rice
- 1 package Lipton's dry chicken noodle mix
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds, optional
Instructions
- Turn Instant Pot to saute setting. When display says HOT add in the sausage and break it up. Add in onion, celery and bell pepper. Brown for 5 minutes.
- Pour in half of the water and scrape bottom of pot so that nothing is sticking. Turn off Instant Pot.
- Sprinkle in the rice and Lipton’s mix. Pour in the remaining water.
- Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 5 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 5-10 minutes and then move valve to venting. Remove the lid.
- Stir and serve topped with almonds, if desired.
