Description

Italian sausage with spaghetti, mushrooms, roasted garlic sauce and mozzarella cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 Tbsp dried onion
  • 2 cups beef or chicken broth
  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 (25 oz) jar pasta sauce (I used Mezzetta roasted garlic sauce)
  • 1 cup shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Turn Instant Pot to saute setting. When display says HOT add in the sausage and break it up. Add in the mushrooms and the onion and cook for about 5 minutes.
  2. Pour in the broth and scrape bottom of pot so that nothing is sticking. Turn off Instant Pot.
  3. Break the spaghetti in half and lay it in a criss cross pattern in the pot. Evenly dump the pasta sauce over the top of the spaghetti.
  4. Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 4 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 5-10 minutes and then move valve to venting. Remove the lid.
  5. Stir in half of the cheese. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and let it melt.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
