Description

A hot dish with a combination of rice, ground beef and vegetables made in your Instant Pot.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 2 ribs celery, diced
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • 3 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups water or broth
  • 1 1/2 cups converted rice
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can chicken noodle soup
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup peas (optional)

Instructions

  1. Turn Instant Pot to saute setting. When display says HOT add in the beef and break it up. Add in the onion, celery, garlic powder and a pinch of salt and pepper. Brown beef for about 5 minutes. Stir in the soy sauce.
  2. Pour in the water and scrape bottom of pot so that nothing is sticking. Turn off Instant Pot.
  3. Sprinkle in the rice. Dump the chicken noodle soup and cream of mushroom soup on top.
  4. Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 3 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 5-10 minutes and then move valve to venting. Remove the lid.
  5. Stir well. Fold in the peas. Serve and enjoy!
