Description

A quick and easy sausage and dumplings casserole made in your Instant Pot. 


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey sausage
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup salsa verde
  • 1 cup frozen sweet corn
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 (8 oz) tube Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Dough Sheet

Instructions

  1. Turn Instant Pot to saute setting. When display says HOT add in the ground sausage and break it up. Add in the diced onion. Brown for about 5 minutes.
  2. Pour in the broth and scrape the bottom of the pot so that nothing is sticking. Turn off Instant Pot.
  3. Drizzle the salsa verde on the top. Dump the corn and cream cheese into the pot. Unroll the crescent roll sheet and use a pizza cutter to cut it into 1 inch squares. Add the squares into the pot, in one layer. 
  4. Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 3 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 10 minutes and then move valve to venting. Remove the lid.
  5. Stir well. Scoop onto plates or into bowls and serve.
