Description
An easy homemade candy recipe that is great for the holidays! The turtle candies are loaded with dark chocolate, white chocolate, pecans, and caramel. Be careful these are addictive!
Ingredients

- 16 ounces dark chocolate melts
- 8 ounces white chocolate melts
- Pinch of kosher salt
- 2 cups chopped pecans
- 20–30 unwrapped Werther’s Soft Caramels
Instructions
Instant Pot Instructions:
- Pour 2 cups of water into the bottom of your Instant Pot. Turn your Instant Pot to the saute setting adjust to “more.”
- Place a glass or metal bowl that sits in/on the Instant Pot without falling in on top of the Instant Pot.
- Add the dark chocolate, white chocolate and salt into bowl. Stir every few minutes until smooth and creamy and melted.
- Stir in the pecans.
- Turn Instant Pot to keep warm setting.
- Scoop a tablespoon of the chocolate mixture onto parchment lined baking sheet. Place a caramel on top. Then scoop another tablespoon of the chocolate mixture on top of the caramel to cover it. Repeat until all the chocolate has been used.
- Refrigerate until set. Store in an airtight container.
Slow Cooker Instructions:
- Add pecans into bottom of slow cooker. Add in the dark chocolate, white chocolate and salt.
- Cover and cook on low for 1 hour.
- Stir until smooth.
- Turn slow cooker to warm setting.
- Scoop a tablespoon of the chocolate mixture onto parchment lined baking sheet. Place a caramel on top. Then scoop another tablespoon of the chocolate mixture on top of the caramel to cover it. Repeat until all the chocolate has been used.
- Refrigerate until set. Store in an airtight container.
Notes
If desired, you can melt some white chocolate and drizzle it over the top.
