Description

Homemade meatballs with pasta, two types of cheese and roasted garlic sauce, all made in your Instant Pot.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef (I used 93/7)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella (divided)
  • 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 8 ounces bowtie pasta
  • 1 (25 oz) jar Mezzetta Roasted Garlic Sauce

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl combine well the ground beef, ½ cup of the mozzarella, parmesan cheese, egg, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper. Form into meatballs (¼ cup each).
  2. Pour broth into Instant Pot. Sprinkle in the pasta evenly. Place the meatballs on top of the pasta. Pour the sauce over the top evenly. Don’t stir.
  3. Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 5 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 5-10 minutes and then move valve to venting. Remove the lid.
  4. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of mozzarella cheese on top and let it melt. Serve and enjoy!
