Description

An easy breakfast dish made with biscuits, gravy, eggs, sausage, and cheese. Perfect to serve your guests!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt, divided
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper, divided
  • 1 (12 oz) package refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Heat a pan over medium high heat. Add in the sausage and break it up. Brown for about 5 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle in the flour and cook for one minute. Then slowly add in the milk, stirring constantly. Stir until gravy has thickened. Stir in ½ tsp salt and ¼ tsp pepper. Turn off the heat.
  4. Spray a 9×13 inch with non-stick cooking spray. Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces. Scatter the dough pieces into the pan. Pour the sausage gravy into the pan.
  5. In a bowl whisk together the eggs and ¼ tsp kosher salt and ¼ tsp black pepper. Pour the eggs over the top of the gravy.
  6. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the top. Bake for 35 minutes.
