Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 oz packet au jus
  • 1 oz packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 (16 oz) jar pickled onions

Instructions

Instant Pot Instructions:

  1. Add broth into Instant Pot. Add in the roast. Sprinkle the au jus seasoning and ranch seasoning on top of the roast. Add entire contents of onion jar into the Instant Pot. 
  2. Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set manual/pressure cook button to 90 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 20-30 minutes and then move valve to venting and remove the lid.
  3. Shred the meat and serve it with juices from the pot.

Slow Cooker Instructions:

  1. Add broth into slow cooker. Add in the roast. Sprinkle the au jus seasoning and ranch seasoning on top of the roast. Add entire contents of onion jar into the slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours until meat is tender and falling apart.
  3. Shred the meat and serve it with juices from the pot.
