Description
Instant Pot penne pasta with Italian sausage, roasted garlic sauce and parmigiano reggiano cheese.
Ingredients

- 1/2 pound ground Italian sausage
- 1 tsp dry onion flakes
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 1 (25 oz) jar Mezzetta roasted garlic sauce
- 1/2 cup ricotta or cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded parmigiano reggiano cheese
Instructions
- Turn Instant Pot to saute setting. When display says HOT add in the Italian sausage and break it up. Brown for about 5 minutes. Drain off excess grease.
- Stir in the onion flakes and garlic powder.
- Pour in the broth and scrape bottom of pot so that nothing is sticking. Turn off Instant Pot.
- Sprinkle in the pasta. Dump the pasta sauce over the top.
- Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 4 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 10 minutes and then move the valve to venting and remove the lid.
- Stir in the ricotta or cottage cheese and the parmigiano reggiano cheese.
