Description

Tender chicken thighs simmered in a rich, sweet and savory soy-ginger sauce, perfect for an easy, slow cooker dinner.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 2/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 Tbsp minced gingerroot
  • 6 boneless skinless chicken thighs (fresh or frozen)

Instructions

  1. Add water, soy sauce, brown sugar, onions, garlic and ginger to slow cooker and whisk.
  2. Nestle the chicken into the sauce.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 1 hour. Flip over and cook on low for 2 more hours.
  4. Break chicken apart and serve chicken and sauce over hot cooked rice.
