Description
An easy skillet shrimp dish loaded with colorful peppers, mushrooms, and green onions simmered in a buttery, garlicky sauce.

- 4 Tbsp butter
- 1 green bell pepper, cored and diced
- 1 red bell pepper, cored and diced
- 4 green onions, sliced
- 8 oz sliced mushrooms
- 20 oz raw shrimp (peeled, deveined, tail off)
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Dash of crushed red pepper
- 2 1/2 Tbsp flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add in the butter and let it melt. Add in the peppers, onions and mushrooms. Sauté for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the shrimp and toss until it starts to turn pink.
- Stir in the salt, pepper, garlic powder and red pepper.
- Toss in the flour and stir. Pour in the broth and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Serve with corn muffins or over rice.
Notes
You can this with cubed chicken instead of shrimp. Use 20 oz of cubed chicken breast. Raw or cooked both work.
