Description
An easy dump-and-go slow cooker chicken with a sweet and tangy sauce.
Ingredients

- 2 1/2 - 3 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs, trimmed of excess fat and cut each into 4-6 pieces
- 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
- 2 Tbsp peach, apricot or mango jam
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp mustard powder
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp water
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch (optional)
Instructions
- Place chicken into slow cooker.
- In a small bowl whisk together the tomato sauce, jam, cayenne, mustard powder, salt, pepper, Worcestershire and water. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours. You can also choose to keep the chicken in whole pieces, in which case you would want to cook for 4 hours on low.
- If you’d like to thicken the sauce then stir the cornstarch together with 2 Tbsp of cold water until smooth. Stir the mixture into the slow cooker and turn to high. Cook without the lid until sauce thickens (about 10 minutes).
