Description

An easy way to cook spaghetti squash! Spaghetti squash is a healthy, low calorie alternative to regular pasta and because it has a neutral flavor it soaks up whatever seasonings or sauce you serve with it.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 spaghetti squash
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Cut the spaghetti squash in half crosswise. Scoop out the seeds and gunk with a spoon.
  2. Pour a cup of water in the bottom of the slow cooker. Place the spaghetti squash in the slow cooker on its side.
  3. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for about 4 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours (depending on your slow cooker and how hot it cooks).
  4. When the squash reaches your preferred texture use a fork to shred the flesh into long spaghetti-like strands. Serve with your favorite sauce.

Notes

I used my 6 quart kitchenaid slow cooker for this recipe.
