5 cups barbecue sauce
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp onion powder
6 pounds boneless beef country-style ribs
Stir together barbecue sauce, brown sugar, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder in medium bowl. Remove 1 cup of mixture; refrigerate and reserve for dipping sauce. Place ribs in large slow cooker. Pour barbecue sauce mixture over ribs. Cover and cook on LOW 8 hours or until meat is tender. Uncover; remove ribs. Skim fat from sauce and serve with reserved sauce. Makes 10 servings.
Review:
This was an excellent meal. Just the right amount of seasonings. Greg loved it and thought it was 5 stars. We served ours with potatoes but it would be good with rice as well. 4 stars.

Mine didn't turn out good at all. I think I over cooked it since it ended up on low for 9 hours. Ribs were dry. Also, the only BBQ sauce I had on hand was already spicy so my sauce ended up too spicy for me. Maybe if someone could recommend a certain type/brand of BBQ sauce? This sounded like such an easy, fool-proof recipe…and I managed to mess it up! Oh well! Learn from my mistakes!

Hi again! 🙂 Would it also work with pork ribs?

My favorite store only has "Pork Ribs, Bone-In Country Style". Do you think they'd work?

I've never cooked ribs before, but I have a Texan husband and three strapping sons so I really need to learn. 🙂 Thank you!

I made this, but with flank steak in the crockpot and it was excellent! I used fresh garlic and onions because I didn't have the powdered stuff. It didn't need to cook as long, but it was so tasty. It's perfect for entertaining. Everyone loved it!

This recipe calls for honey in your instructions, but is not listed in the ingredients. How much honey does it call for? Thanks!
