Description

A fast and easy Instant Pot or slow cooker dinner of seasoned ground beef, tender red potatoes, mixed vegetables and a savory chicken gravy that brings everything together.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 18 oz red potatoes, cut into cubes
  • 2 (.87 oz) packets of chicken gravy mix
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables

Instructions

Instant Pot Instructions:

  1. Turn Instant Pot to saute setting. When display says HOT add in the beef and break it up. Add in the onions. Brown for 5 minutes, drain off excess grease. Stir in the salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  2. Pour in the water and scrape bottom of pot so that nothing is sticking. Turn off Inatant Pot.
  3. Add in the potatoes and sprinkle them with the gravy mix.
  4. Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set manual/pressure cook button to 3 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 5 minutes and then move valve to venting.
  5. Stir in the frozen veggies and let them heat up.
  6. Serve and enjoy!

Slow Cooker Instructions:

  1. Heat a pan over medium high heat. Add in the beef and break it up. Add in the onions. Brown for 5 minutes, drain off excess grease. Stir in the salt, pepper and garlic powder. Transfer to slow cooker.
  2. Stir in the water, potatoes and gravy mix.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, or until potatoes are tender.
  4. Stir in the frozen veggies and let them heat up on the high setting for about 10 minutes.
  5. Serve and enjoy!
