Description

Cheesy orzo with smoked sausage and green beans made fast in the Instant Pot. 


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 6 ounces smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 4 ounces orzo (about 3/4 cup)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen green beans
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 oz sharp shredded cheddar
  • 1/2 tsp dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Turn Instant Pot to saute setting. When display says HOT add in the butter and let it melt. Add in the sausage and brown for a couple minutes.
  2. Pour in the broth and scrape bottom of pot so that nothing is sticking. Turn off Instant Pot. 
  3. Sprinkle in the orzo and green beans. 
  4. Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 1 minute. When time is up let pot sit for 5-10 minutes and then move the valve to venting. Remove the lid.
  5. Stir in the milk and cheddar and dijon. 
  6. Serve and enjoy!
