This kitchen tip is perfect for the week of Thanksgiving…since you’ll be doing a lot of baking of pies and/or other desserts! Thanks, Gina.
When baking cookies or a recipe calling for both shortening and eggs, crack the eggs into the measuring cup that you will use for the shortening. Put the eggs into the recipe or a separate bowl. Then fill the measuring cup with the shortening. Then the shortening doesn’t stick to the inside of the measuring cup at all. It also makes clean-up easier. This also would work with peanut butter for a peanut butter cookie recipe.
